Fire Safety Door Inspections

New Fire Department Safety Door Residential Regulations require annual apartment inspections by the building staff. The inspection includes certifying that the front door of each apartment is self-closing and that a new magnetic Fire Safety Notice with fire safety precautions during a fire is and will be affixed to the inside of your front door. A self-closing door means that your entry door closes “completely” without the need of you personally closing it. This is critical to stop the spread of smoke and flames during a possible fire. Please advise Visar and the staff if you are aware of any issues with your front door.
